Chasing the Slow of Summer

I’ve over here chasing the slow drawl of summer that allows us to linger in sun-drenched goodness.

It’s the last day of summer swim lessons for my youngest. We’ve finally shed the swim vest, which any mama knows is a huge relief.

The routine of coming every day has offered us a bit of structure while soaking up summer memories of sunshine, swimming, watermelon, s’mores, friends and family.

That’s pretty much all our summer has been.

It’s been a welcome yawn in our year. While I’m forever chasing slow and ease throughout the year, I just wanted to take a minute to be so grateful for these purely innocent times.

May we all chase these stretches of peaceful days that feel as though they’ve just been dipped in sweet honey. Savoring the stickiness they offer us, appreciating how fortunate we are to be here right now, together.
